Batton Consulting provides
assistance to a company's CIO/CTO or CEO on major initiatives and activity
to transform IT, particularly in the areas of strategy, architecture, project
management, continuous improvement, and
development/integration management. Additionally,
BCI brings a unique business & systems
knowledge in the payments industry to help companies determine their enterprise architecture direction and how to achieve
it.
BCI is the consulting entity of
Mike Batton, former CIO of OSI Outsourcing, Inc., one of the leading
receivables management outsourcers in the U.S., and former division CIO
of Sears Roebuck's Credit & Financial Products. As a CIO Mike has
provided leadership in significant organizational change, IT function
outsourcing, architecture implementation, IT process improvement and
cost reduction, and, major acquisition transition.
In addition to Mike's experience
in the top technology role for industry leading companies his diverse professional background
encompasses most aspects of
systems delivery activity and includes: project management; software quality
assurance and testing; systems architecture; development management;
engagement management; vendor management; proposal, negotiation and
contract activities; and, product lifecycle management.
A focus
for Mike has
been on the credit and payment systems processing software area. During
his career he has been deeply involved in efforts to produce and implement next
generation payment solutions that are adaptable, robust and supportive of high
volume transaction processes. In addition to having
significant involvement or exposure with the three major card processing packages and most major
industry packages, Mike has also
provided strategic consulting to some of the nation's largest credit card
issuers. Mike has held senior IT roles with Sears, Roebuck and
Company, First Data Resources, First Card/First USA, and Computer Sciences
Corporation.
