A defined engagement is used for assistance
with a specific initiative with a reasonably known scope. This service
is usually provided on a time & materials basis, although, in some
circumstances scope is consistent enough that I can provide a fixed-price
engagement. This type of engagement can be initiated either through a
simple standalone agreement or as a Statement of Work under a general master
consulting agreement.
IT Assessment & Roadmap
A form of a defined engagement, this service
provides for an objective assessment of IT processes and capabilities using a
combined ITIL and CMM compatible framework culminating in an IT improvement
roadmap. The assessment & roadmap is fixed-priced based on the scope of
included assessment process areas. Contact me today for more information

Advisory Retainer
An advisory retainer is used when on-going
advice and assistance is desired, but, initiatives and scope are general or
not well known. In this case you desire a more flexible and open-ended
relationship. The retainer portion is often provided to you at a
reduced rate and can be used to cover any suitable activity. Retainer
hour commitments vary in size according to your needs, as does the calendar
duration over which the retainer is effective. A general master
consulting agreement is used to execute this type of engagement with the
retainer portion being one of the Statements of Work.
Temporary CIO
Temporary/Interim CIO support is provided when
a company is temporarily without that level of IT executive in-house, and
needs someone to provide senior leadership while a search and hire of a
permanent CIO is completed. This engagement is also used by companies
that do not normally have a CIO level role in the organization, but, find
they need this level of experience, leadership and/or insight while they go
through transition or to re-examine their IT operation. Both of these
engagements are provided at your designated location on a fulltime basis as
part of your team. This engagement is usually handled with a fixed
duration, fixed fee agreement with options to extend.
